Way Library welcomes Dr. Ryan Ebright, Instructor in Musicology at Bowling Green State University, for a presentation on the music of video games. From its humble origins in the 8-bit gaming systems of the 1980s to the big-budget AAA games of today, music has been and continues to be a vital part of the video game experience. In this historical and technological overview of video game music, you’ll find out how and why video game music works the way it does. You’ll even have a chance to play some of your favorite classics, like Tetris and Super Mario Bros.

This program is free and open to the public; no registration required.

The Musicologist-in-Residence program is supported by funding from Way Public Library Foundation & Friends.
