From April 4th to April 10th, Way Public Library would like you to join us in celebrating National Library Week, this year's theme being "Welcome to your Library"!
National Library Week is a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. A library's reach extends far beyond the four walls of a building. Whether people visit virtually or in person, libraries are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive places.
We invite you to learn about our services and use them often. Our mission is "to connect you to the community and the world." How do we do this? Every day we cultivate literacy, promote digital skills, make internet connectivity freely available, and encourage lifelong learning. Growing in knowledge fosters a sense of belonging which leads to sharing of ideas and discoveries--a hallmark of a thriving, connected community.
We've said it before, but it bears repeating. We are grateful for your unwavering support during the past year. Our staff has worked hard to develop innovative ways to stay connected with you and meet your needs in a responsible manner.
We are feeling optimistic now, and we hope you are, too. As you welcome spring and warmer weather, we look forward to seeing you out and about. Why not make visits to Way a regular part of your routine? There will be a warm welcome waiting for you!
