Join Judy Hagen for a presentation about recycling opportunities in the Perrysburg area on April 22 at 7pm. She will discuss the city’s single stream recycling and will share information about items collected. Judy will also discuss yard waste disposal, the City compost site, recycle roundup, area drop-off collections for many other recyclable item. Judy is from the City of Perrysburg’s Office of Litter Prevention and Recycling.

Is joint pain preventing you from enjoying life? Are you a candidate for a joint replacement? Join Mercy and Way Public Library for an educational presentation about joint pain and surgical treatment on April 28 at 7:00pm.
Dr. Richard Miller, a member of Mercy’s team of orthopedic specialists, will share insight on the full array of joint replacement options for hips, knees, and shoulders. Dr. Miller will answer your questions on what’s best for you. This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Way Library welcomes Jane Weber of the Toledo State Hospital Cemetery Reclamation Project for a presentation that will take a look back at the history of treatment in Northwest Ohio on April 29 at 7:00pm. Ms. Weber will share stories of the patients as well as the journey to restore the long forgotten Toledo State Hospital Cemeteries and honor the almost 2,000 men, women, children, and veterans buried there.
Spring is here. Join us and create a 20” x 20" spring floral or landscape acrylic painting during our 3 hour session on Thursday April the 30 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Join us for no fuss creative fun while you learn new tips and skills. All supplies included; aprons, easels, brushes, canvas, paints and even snacks provided. Participants will personalize a background with color and textures, and then select either a spring floral or landscape design to finish a personalized painting. Design options will be shown from samples and demonstrations. Learn some new techniques with acrylic including how to accomplish translucent Watercolor effects to bulky textures that add depth and dimension. Participants will also view a demonstration of different styles and kinds of brushes used to create different flowers, and landscape effects. Elect to use one of the specialty brushes provided to create your personal masterpiece. For those doing a floral composition, they can choose to personalize it with the look and texture of their favorite flower.

Step right up and share your talent with the community! Enjoy a display of talent from our community on Saturday, May 2 at 7:00pm. We will have a rehearsal for participants on Friday, May 1 at 6:00pm.

Each performance has a 5 minute limit. Ages 15 and up are invited to participate. Sing, dance, act, recite! All performances are subject to approval by Way Library.
