Way Library welcomes Dr. Malcolm D. E. Forbes, Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Photochemical Sciences at Bowling Green State University for a presentation on the science of beer. The talk will provide an overview of the beer-making process, from harvested grain to consumption, across three basic themes: production, the marketing and distribution of beer, and differences in style. The sensitivity of beer to light exposure, a topic previously researched in Professor Forbes’ laboratory, will feature prominently in the science section.
