Fiber Art by Fiberforum
July 10, 2019 – August 30, 2019
Fiberforum is an over 40-year-old northwest Ohio art group whose members use a wide variety of fiber media and techniques to create individual and collaborative works. Fiber techniques are used by the artists in the group as a means of personal reflection and as ways to express what it means to exist in the world today. Fiberforum encourages the appreciation of traditional techniques as well as ways in which these techniques can be expanded. Whether woven, stitched, tied, or pieced, fibers form a common thread expressing our cultures and ourselves. The members often work on collaborations, where each artist adds to or modifies the others’ work in a communal manner or otherwise produces art as a group.
