Bake a cake and win prizes in our 4th Annual Cake Decorating Contest! Bake and decorate a cake for any occasion (birthday, graduation, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Summer, 4th of July, etc.) and submit a photo of your creatively decorated cake by June 25, 2017. Simply check out a cake pan from our collection and use it to bake your cake and submit a color photo of your decorated cake before the deadline on June 25, 2017.

Prizes will be awarded in 5 categories: Adult, Family, Teen, Youth, & Build a Better World. Enter online HERE; or enter in person by delivering the completed entry form along with a 5”x7” color photo of your cake to the Circulation Desk at Way Library.

Rules and Guidelines

Amateur bakers only.
The cake must be baked in a pan from Way Public Library’s Baker’s Way cake pan collection.
Categories available to enter are Adult, Family, Teen (11-17 years old), and Youth (10 years old and under). Plus, a new category this year—Build a Better World! This category is open to all ages and families.
The official entry form and a 5”x7” color photograph of the cake must be submitted by June 25, 2017. Please, no people in photos. You may also submit your entry and image online.
Limit two entries per person per category.

Pictures of the cakes will be on display for voting at Way Library from June 29 until July 20, 2017.
Prizes will be awarded in each category. Votes received will determine the “People’s Choice” winners in each of the categories. There will also be a special “Judges’ Choice” award in each category chosen by a panel of guest judges.
Winners will be announced at a reception at Way Library on July 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm. All contestants and their families are welcome to attend this reception.
Pictures of cakes may be used by Way Library for future promotional purposes and will not be returned.
