What's my PIN?
Your pin is usually the last 4 digits of the phone number we have on file for you.
Does the library take donations of used books and movies?
Your donations of gently used books and DVDs are gratefully accepted by Way Public Library Foundation & Friends on behalf of the library. Donations may be dropped off at the Circulation Desk during library hours. Click here for a list of items currently accepted.
Late Fees and other useful information:
Fines are charged for overdue materials. The amount varies according to the type of material and lending library. Way’s fines are as follows:
- 20 cents per day per item for most items
- 50 cents per day for Reader's, Listener's and Viewer's Express
How will I receive my late notices?
As of September 1st, 2009 Way Public Library no longer uses the US Postal Office to send late notices. Please make sure we have a current email address where we can send these notifications.
How long can I keep it?
Most books circulate for 4 weeks. New books circulate for one week or two and videos and DVDs for 7 days; music CDs check out for 14 days; books on CD may be checked out for 28 days. Material borrowed from other libraries may have different loan periods.
What if I'm going on vacation?
Vacation loans may be arranged for some materials.
What about renewals?
Physical items checked out from the Library now renew automatically. You will receive an email 3 days before the items are due as a courtesy. On the day the items are due, we will automatically renew eligible items.
Patrons will receive an email with a list of items that were successfully renewed.
Items that cannot be auto renewed are as follows:
- Items that have reached their renewal limit
- Items someone else has requested
- Viewers, Reader’s and Listener’s express items
- Items that are already overdue.
What if I lost it?
Current list price is charged for lost or severely damaged items.
Could you tell me more about library cards?
Library cards are free to all Ohio residents; non-residents pay a fee for a family card. The card is good indefinitely when used regularly and may be used at any Wood County Library. Charge for a replacement is $1.00. If you lose your card, please report the loss to the library as soon as possible. You are responsible for materials borrowed on your card up to the date loss is reported. There are no age restrictions for Way Library cards and we encourage everyone in the family to sign up! When applying for a library card, you must show proof of name and current address. Children under the age of 18 must have their application signed by parent or guardian.
When you register for a card, you agree to be responsible for all materials borrowed against it. You are solely responsible for any overdue fines and any loss or damage of library materials. You are responsible for materials borrowed with your card up to the date the loss is reported.

Do you deliver?
The library can arrange for delivery to homebound individuals. We also provide delivery service to senior facilities in Perrysburg.
Can I return books when you're closed?
Our convenient drive-up book drops are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Even overdue items can be returned in them. You may pay your fine on your next visit.
