Enthusiasm and a passion to help other people are qualities that describe library volunteer, Kathy Schramko. Kathy comes to the library every week to participate in many library projects, includes book sales, shifting books, deleting books and the Dewey Lite relabeling project. She always participates with a “can do” attitude and a smile on her face!

Kathy is the mother of two sons and seven grandchildren. She is a retired registered nurse, who received her RN at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing and her master’s degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She pursued a successful career in nursing at Flower Hospital and as a nursing instructor at Owens Community College.

Retirement has allowed Kathy to pursue many passions, most importantly spending time with her loving grandchildren and attending their multitude of sporting events. She loves to read and to garden, and has an extraordinary talent with growing flowers, both annuals and perennials. Kathy is a lector at St. Rose Church and is a regular hospice volunteer. She still finds time to travel, and has been on many exciting trips. A few highlights include multiple trips to Europe to explore their grand museums, participation in an African safari and parasailing in the Alps.

The Way Library is most grateful to you, Kathy, for actively participating as a library volunteer. You have certainly made a difference in the library and our Perrysburg community. And, for that, we thank you!
