Have you recently placed a “hold” at Way Library? If you receive phone notifications, then you have likely received a call from our super volunteer with the friendly voice, Joe Schroeder! Joe is now retired after a career with the State of Ohio in Employment Services. He spends his Friday mornings at Way Library contacting patrons whose reserved materials have arrived. This is such an important task. Not only does it let our patrons know that their books, DVDs and other library materials are ready for them, but it helps to keep the Circulation Department organized and running efficiently.
In addition to volunteering at Way, Joe helps out at the St. Louis Helping Hands Kitchen. He also enjoys woodworking. Joe recently commented, “The library is a great place with wonderful people.” Well, that definitely includes you, Joe! Thank you for your loyal service and valuable contribution to Way Public Library through the years!
