How to Use a Mouse

Intro to Computers

Learn the basics of using a computer.  We will cover powering on and powering off a computer, the different parts of a personal computer system, and take a tour of Windows 7.  This is a great class for beginners and even casual users may learn some great information.  Skill level: Beginner. Intro to the Internet

Learn how to use Internet Explorer to get around on the World Wide Web.  Topics covered in this class will include Internet Safety, Google, Way Library Catalog, Library Databases, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Bing, and much more.  Skill Level: Beginner. Introduction to Microsoft Word 2010
Wednesdays March 21 and March 28, 6:00pm to 7:30pm - $5
Learn to use Microsoft Word to draft everything from a resume to a letter to your congressman.  This 2 session class will cover the very basics of word processing, such as learning correct typing methods, error correction, and text formatting in the first session.  The second session will include more advanced features, such as saving and opening documents and inserting pictures and clipart.  Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced. Digital Camera Basics
Wednesday March 28, 1:00pm to 2:30pm – FREE
Get the basics of using a digital camera from this short and informative class.  This class also includes a demo of Picasa software, which you can use to organize and touch your digital photo collections.  Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced. Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010

Excel is a program that was originally designed to handle complex financial calculations but has since been widely used for a variety of different functions.  Attend this 2 session class to learn about Cells, Workbooks, Cell formatting, functions, graphs and equations.  Skill level: Advanced.
