Could you tell me more about library cards?
Library cards are free to all Ohio residents; non-residents pay a fee for a family card. The card is good indefinitely when used regularly and may be used at any Wood County Library. Charge for a replacement is $1.00. If you lose your card, please report the loss to the library as soon as possible. You are responsible for materials borrowed on your card up to the date loss is reported. There are no age restrictions for Way Library cards and we encourage everyone in the family to sign up! When applying for a library card, you must show proof of name and current address. Children under the age of 18 must have their application signed by parent or guardian.
When you register for a card, you agree to be responsible for all materials borrowed against it. You are solely responsible for any overdue fines and any loss or damage of library materials. You are responsible for materials borrowed with your card up to the date the loss is reported.
Golden Buckeye cardholders are exempt from overdue fines on materials which have been checked out on their own library card for their own personal use. Lost or damaged materials must be paid for, however.
How do I reserve a book?
Now that we are part of the SEO consortium, holds may be placed on items owned by libraries throughout the state. Holds may be placed online, by phone or by a librarian at the Information Desk. There is no charge for this service. We will call or email you when the item arrives and ask that you pick it up within two days.
Do you deliver?
The library can arrange for delivery to homebound individuals. We also provide delivery service to senior facilities in Perrysburg.
Can I return books when you're closed?
Our convenient drive-up book drops are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Even overdue items can be returned in them. You may pay your fine on your next visit. Please, do not put money in the book drops for fines. If you’re returning audio-visual materials, please use the special book drop located in the wall of the library, to the left of the entrance.
