Chris Scarlett and Sharla Cook have become familiar faces at Way Library. In addition to being regular library patrons and avid readers, Chris and Sharla have both assumed roles of volunteer assistants for the new Cookbook Clubs that the library sponsors. Hosted on the first Wednesday of each month, Chris participates with the noon lunch group, and Sharla joins the fun with the dinner group. Both ladies help to set up for the mealtime events, greet our guests and host the meal, assist with program planning, help with clean-up, and of course, enjoy a delicious meal!

Both volunteers are also very busy outside of the library. Chris is a retired RN and mother of seven children. Her emphasis while working was in maternal and childhood health and wellness, and she continues to lead an active lifestyle with an emphasis on fitness and nutrition. Chris participates in the Respect Life committee at St. Rose Church. Sharla is a retired Registered Dietitian and is the mother of two daughters. She was a lactation consultant when she was active with her career, but is now busy with the social ministry committee at Zoar Lutheran Church and loves to sew. Both Chris and Sharla love to cook!

The staff of Way Library would like to personally thank you, Chris and Sharla, for your dedication and significant contributions to the library. You have certainly helped to make our Cookbook Clubs such wonderful events. We are grateful to you for sharing your time, your talents, your enthusiasm, and your gourmet cooking!
