Way Public Library Foundation
About Way Public Library Foundation
The Way Public Library is one of our community’s most treasured assets, thanks to Willard V. Way, a prominent Perrysburg attorney, mayor, and public servant. Upon his death in 1875, funds from his estate founded the original Way Public Library, which opened its doors to the public in 1892. Our current library was dedicated in 1959, renovated in 1982 and again in 2001.
History of Way Public Library Foundation
The Way Public Library Foundation was founded in 1992. It was established to help provide a secure future for the Library. The Foundation’s mission is to solicit, receive and maintain funds whose income and principal can be used to enable the Way Public Library to meet the changing needs and opportunities of Library service in the future and to supplement, enrich and expand the services, materials and facilities which the Library is currently able to offer its users.
